The Job

It is hard to work on a contract basis scheme unlike the fixed monthly salary. But everything has its advantages and disadvantages.

I used to get paid on a daily basis pay, meaning you work you get paid, you dont and you have nothing. Week in and week out i have to do something to earn a living. But for my case, i am still receiving twice a month pay base on my daily work plus extra variable bonuses for every working day on Sunday and public holidays.

With this contract basis payment, i get three times more than what someone who receives fixed monthly salary. Just that, i dont have the privileges such as, annual leave, medical leave, compassionate leave and etc etc leave which other people used to enjoy.

But the problem is, i dont have a life. I work 7 days a week, 30 days a month plus 3 hrs interval to rest, on top of every 6 working hours for 12 hours job everyday and that is what i have to do.

Then came another headache, my 5 years contract is about to end soon and the management is getting another 5 years contract for me to run. The question is, to take or not to take?

I wish i were a doctor, lawyer, teacher, airline pilot, Coffee Fairy, Richard, Sassy, Ladylee or Ghee. Except for poor Princeromp...

Short Entry

First of all, i like to wish to all my good Muslim friends a happy 2006 Ramadhan 24 Sept-23Oct ( Fasting month). I wish to you all the best in this holy month of Muslim calendar.

Well...it has been quite sometime and i did miss a few good stuffs in this blogosphere's world. Actually i did visited a few weblogs, just that i didnt leave any comment, as quoted from Richard's word...I'm more like a 'blog's stalker', present and vigil but silent.

Okay Now... what i wanna to talk about? let's see...
How about politic? Recent Thailand coup? hmm nahh...
Sex Scandal of the year? hmm... Lewinsky again? Boring dude...

How about the controversial Pope Benedict's IV recent remark? Hmm...too complex.
Basically i dont have any good topic to write about...it sound so familiar to me...hee hee.

No wonder i've been missing all this while. Actually Im not too bad if i were to compare with Sassylady. Evaporated?....Maybe....Most likely is the exact word.

Oh yah...Im going to change my working environment. Looking for a new job soon. Because I envy people like Silentwave...flying around the globe...hee.

At the mean time...I think i wanna get a new bike...I mean a BIG super bike. Japanese machine is my target. Cheap and reliable. Adios.

You may no longer be around but you will forever be remembered.

"Crikey.. the sky is the limit"
and we bet, you have no regrets
May you rest in peace!

About Her

Nothing much to blog about! Singapore just celebrated her 41st birthday, She is five years older than me. I still can remember how she looked like when she was just 12 years old. She looked so vain yet with very big ambitions.

I did fell in love with her when i was just 16 and she was freshly 21 then...at that time there was nothing much she could offer but Im still loyal and stood her.

I went to serve her as a servant with my dear life for two and half years . I gave my very best to serve and to protect her. Infact until now, i never fail to protect her.

In the early nineties, she grew mature rapidly, i felt like it's to sudden to accept. I couldnt believe how she transformed from a quiet little young girl to a very confident performer on the world stage and now she is very filthy rich too. Her reserved assets only are worth billions of US dollars!.

I consider myself lucky to be with her.
I always salute you....Singapura.

Majulah Singapura (sung in Malay)
Mari kita rakyat Singapura
Sama-sama menuju bahagia
Cita-cita kita yang mulia
Berjaya Singapura
Marilah kita bersatu
Dengan semangat yang baru
Semua kita berseru
Majulah Singapura
Majulah Singapura

Onward Singapore (English translation)
We, the people of Singapore
Together march towards happiness
Our noble aspiration
To make Singapore a success
Let us all unite
In a new spirit
Together we proclaim
Onward Singapore
Onward Singapore

For 140 years (1819-1959), the Union Jack flew over Singapore.
Then, on 3 December 1959, the National Flag, an important symbol of independence, was unveiled together with the State Crest and National Anthem at the installation of the new Head of State, the Yang di-Pertuan Negara.

The Flag consists of two horizontal halves, red above white. Red symbolises universal brotherhood and equality of men; white, purity and virtue. In the upper left corner, a white crescent moon and five white stars form a circle. The crescent moon represents a young nation on the rise. The five stars stand for Singapore's ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.

The National Coat of Arms or State Crest consists of a shield with a white crescent moon and five white stars against a red background. Red symbolises universal brotherhood and equality of men; white, purity and virtue.

The five stars represent the ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality. Supporting the shield are a lion on the left and a tiger on the right. The lion represents Singapore and the tiger represents the island’s historical links with Malaysia. Below the shield is a banner inscribed with the Republic’s motto, "Majulah Singapura" ("Onward Singapore").

The Coat of Arms or State Crest was unveiled on 3 December 1959 together with the National Flag and the National Anthem at the installation of the Yang di-Pertuan Negara at the City Hall steps.
The Lion Symbol
According to 13th century Malay Annals, a prince spotted a creature he believed was a lion and named the island "Singa-pura" (Lion City)--from which Singapore was derived. The Lion Symbol was launched in 1986 as an alternative national symbol.

The National Flag and State Crest have legal restrictions that prevent their commercial use. The Lion Symbol was chosen as a logo that best captures the characteristics of Singapore’s reputation as the Lion City. The lion symbolises courage, strength and excellence. It is in red against a white background--the colours of the National Flag.

The five partings of the lion’s mane represent the five ideals embodied in the five stars of the flag--democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality. The lion’s purposeful bearing symbolises the nation’s single-minded resolve to face challenges and overcome obstacles.

Brandy Hangover

Friday 11 August, 6 days after i had my first fever. When i woke up every morning, I still have the headache and aching especially on the back of my body. Its just like never ending.

On the other side of the world my blogger friend, ( Steven ) is having sleepless nights due to his bar exam, as for me, its bcos of this stupid little red dots fever.

Actually those nasty little red dots doesnt bother me much. But the anti viral that i took for the past 5 days did give some kind of a side effect. I have to go pass motion every now and then, and my appetite didnt do any better either. My throat sores and my eyes feel like they were burning, i felt like I were having a hangover from heavy brandy last night.

At first I thought chicken pox is just a mild sickness with nasty little red dots that eventually would heal and goes off. I heard from alot of people, I gain alot of tips, they suggested various medicines and several traditional methods but chicken pox is more than little red dots.

What that I understand, it is good to have it while you are still young and not at my age (36).

Anyway i just hope i could recover fully before the deadline of my medical leave. I want to wake up feeling fresh and healthy, never mind the little red dots. I just hate those fever and the 'brandy' hangover.

In the meantime...I do have ten of couples of friends who are around me, Im glad there are few among them who are well wishers, who wishes me speedy recovery, visited and worried about me and MANY MORE DIDNT.

Its hard to find a true friend let alone true love. bleh.
